The Future of Cities and Regions

The development of modern society is moving towards a T-economy where thought capital is the driving factor of production.

Most people would probably agree that the map of the world is being redrawn. For a number of years there has been a gradual concentration of businesses and people to a few dynamic regions. And globally, the economic and political center has shifted towards its historic center, Asia. The world 's most valuable company at this moment, Apple, is built on "thinking", not raw materials or production capacity. Thoughts and ideas has perhaps never been more important than now. The urban life is the norm, not just in the West but in a majority of countries worldwide. But what are the forces behind this development and what will it mean for nations, cities, regions and business?

The development of modern society is moving towards a T-economy where thought capital is the driving factor of production. In time, this trend will radically change both regions, companies and individuals, in some respects this is already underway.

Trends driving the development towards the year 2025 are described, and how they change the environment for cities, regions, business and people.
In this lecture we analyse and show some examples of how your city or region’s position looks from our different methods of analysis. We can also extend the lecture into a workshop or masterclass.
