The innovation gap – the challenge of the future

The lecture highlights what really matters when it comes to innovation and what that means for how we should think about and work with specific innovation forward.

Everyone talks about innovation, and lots of ideas and models for how the innovation process should be conducted have been presented in recent years. They show that innovation no longer is just about products but about everything from design and IP issues to logistics, processes, business models and business ecosystems. But what is it that really counts when it comes to innovation? Are the closed old school models better or worse than open innovation models and solvers? Are there any innovation processes needed or is it enough with a good culture of innovation? What leadership is required to get what you want? Do approaches and decision culture matter?

Based on more than 20 years of consulting work on strategy and innovation, together with a series of major Swedish and international studies on innovation carried out by Kairos Future, including the innovation gap in 2015, this lecture focuses on what really matters and what that means for how we should think about and work with specific innovation in the future.
