What is a cookie?
We use two types of cookies on our website:
- Session cookies. These are temporary cookies that are only active at a time when the user accesses the website. Session cookies help our website to memorize the steps that the visitor has made in the previous page, thus eliminating the need to re-enter information.
- Persistent cookies. Persistent cookies remain on the visitor's computer after visiting our site. These cookies help us to identify you as a unique visitor (retaining this information as a randomly generated number). How long the cookie will remain the user's computer will depend on the types of cookie.
Controlling and deleting cookies
You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the features of the website.
If you want to restrict cookies or block them on our website or any other website, you can do it by changing your web browser settings. For example, you may be able to block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete all cookies upon exiting your browser. To learn more about this opportunity, use your browser's function “Help”.
For information about how to delete cookies from your mobile device browser, please see the devices user guide.
As is true of most websites, we gather information automatically. We track the activities on our website so analyze what information is relevant for you as a visitor, and to make sure that we keep our information and content up to date.
