China Startup Dashboard
Our tool gives you a continuously updated overview over China's dynamic startup scene – and how it looks in different parts of the country, in different industries, and in different fields of innovation.
A 75-inch touchscreen lets you interact with charts, maps and network visualisations. 10 views show startup activities from different perspectives, and are also gateways for deep-diving into different parts of the startup landscape. For example, select a city on the map, and all the views adapt to give an overview of startups in that city. Then select a patent class in the patent chart, and the whole dashboard will show the city's startups that hold such patents.
Once you have narrowed down your hunting ground, it is time to look for specific startup companies of interest. Tap a company on the screen to read about it; tap again and all views update to show this startup's investment history, ownership structure, news coverage, and more.
As an alternative to this form of iterative exploration, there is also an AI-based search function, using which you can search for company names or focus areas.
Typical use cases:
- Monitor and get an overview of startup activities within a field
- Find partners for collaboration or targets for investment
- Identify the owners that are nodes within startup ecosystems
- Look towards the future: identify industries, fields of innovation, and geographical areas where startups are gaining momentum.
- See development over time, both for individual companies and for a field as a whole. You can also "go back in time" to explore the startup landscape as it looked at a previous point in time.
Apart from the touchscreen tool, we also offer access to the same information through an API. You can also subscribe to updated date within a field that you are following.
