According to the Maya calendar we’re close to the end of history. On the 21st of December 2012 it’s all over. But not only the Maya calendar tells us that doomsday is close; according to the Doomsday clock project, society is 6 minutes from global nuclear disaster; environmentalist claim that within a few decades the global warming catastrophe is a reality; and financial pessimists claim that we’re only in the beginning of the financial crisis.
