Kairos Future helps companies and organizations understand and shape the future within five different areas.

Within each and one of these areas we conduct futures analyses, arrange knowledge-based networks, hold courses, lectures and workshops and work in close collaboration with our clients in scenario, strategy and improvement projects.

Society & General Future

Do you need to learn what will be the consequences of mega-trends such as climate change, individualization and glocalization for your company or organization?

Within the business area Society and General Future we help companies and organizations to analyze changes in society and the consequences for individual companies.

Together with groups of clients or with one single client we conduct important projects analyzing society related issues. In single client projects we work with strategic and long-term issues.

Schooling 2021 is one of several extensive futures projects that have attracted a lot of attention in recent years. This futures study was done in collaboration with The Swedish National Agency for School Improvement, the Swedish Educational Broadcasting Company (UR), Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv), The Swedish Knowledge Foundation (KK-stiftelsen), IST AB and Botkyrka Municipality.

“Tomorrow’s criminality” and “IT and the Nation State” are other examples of previous projects.

Agora Society and Future

omv__rld.jpgAgora Society and Future is a knowledge arena for researching broad social trends and changes that affect virtually every part of society.

Agora Society and Future gathers together situational analysts, business development managers and others with the job of following broad social trends and changes and their consequences for society and business – in companies as well as government institutions.

Each year, participants get access to four reports that are developed exclusively for the Agora Society and Future and concern highly topical subjects that are identified in dialog with the participants. Participants are also invited to a 24-hour workshop, an interactive process where knowledge are developed through Kairos Future's methods. At seminars and workshops, we work concretely on what these mean for individual organizations and society as a whole.

A membership in Kairos Agora™ also includes extra seminars, access to 30 reports (currently only in Swedish) previously produced for the network, discount on products and services from Kairos Future as well as priority to participate in future studies.

This fall themes such as how the economy is driven by the search for life quality, who has the power in the future and the future of future analysis will be discussed.

Consumer, Marketing & Innovation

Who are your consumers? And what will they be like tomorrow? How do they influence the challenges and possibilities for your company?

Within the business area Consumer, market and innovation we help companies to understand consumers and markets, develop business concepts and to make use of societal insight in order to generate better ideas and innovations.

We work with everything ranging from analyzing macro-trends within economy, market and technology to ethnographic studies of consumers’ everyday life.

We use advanced methods, in workshops and seminars, to help our clients reshape their societal insights into strategic conclusions, business ideas, innovations and concrete action plans.

Among our extensive futures projects, that have attracted a lot of attention in recent years, are The MeWe Generation, Tomorrow’s TV, In Search for Authenticity and Tomorrow’s Successful Sales.

Agora Leadership

Kairos’ Agora Leadership is the knowledge arena for exploring what it will be like to be a manager or a co-worker in the future, including working life and competence issues.

We are no relaunching the Leadership network in a new format. The focus now is more on seminars, networking and to make use of Kairos in-house research.

Agora Leadership gathers together operations, training and human resources managers from trade and industry, government authorities and other organizations.

Regional Development

The regions of Europe are constantly developing. Do you need to know how you can develop sustainable visions and strategies for regions, municipalities and cities?

Through analyzing the external forces of change such as globalization,value changes and technological development we help municipalities and regions to develop rooted visions and strategies. We also serve as advisors in the following processes of change.

Furthermore, we conduct more extensive analysis projects together with groups of companies, organizations and regions. Among our previous projects that have gained a lot of attention “Sweden’s Futures – off the main road” (Framtider för Sverige – vid sidan av allfarvägen) should be mentioned.

Travel & Tourism

What does the future for travel and tourism look like? Which are the main trends and what can you do to benefit from them?Jordflyg.jpg

Within the business area Travel and Tourism we help organizations in the travel sector as well as regional promotion organizations understand structural changes and develop sustainable strategies for the future.

We conduct futures and client analyses and participate in strategy and development projects. Together with individual companies and groups of companies and organizations we also run pioneering knowledge projects and futures studies.

One example of present projects in the travel and tourism area is our Scandinavian Travel Trend Survey, which is a yearly analysis of travel behavior and plans of Scandinavians. The survey will be extended and cover other as well during the winter. More information is found here.

Agora Tourism

Kairos' Agora Tourismis the knowledge arena for exploring the future of travel and tourism.Kairos Agora Tourism

The network gathers people at different levels of responsibility in the travel and tourism industries – from tour operators and carriers to regional players in the tourism market. It offers you several kinds of advantages that will increase the lead when preparing for the future.

Each year two reports on highly topical subjects are produced exclusively for the network. At seminars we work concretely on what the topic means for your organizations and for the travel, tourism and experience industry as a whole.

A membership in Kairos Agora™ also includes extra seminars, access to the more than 10 reports previously produced for the network, discount on products and services from Kairos Future as well as priority to participate in future studies.

The network has an international perspective and the reports are in English since 2006. This fall the theme of the future of service will be discussed.

Values and Lifestyles

Do you want to know more about tomorrow's values and lifestyles? Do you need to understand your clients, your target group to the core - learn about differences between Chinese, Indians and Danes? Fully understand what really influences their interests and behaviors? Do you need help to transform consumer insight to intentions and actions?  Feel free to contact us for a discussion.

For almost twenty years, we have regularly been conducting surveys on values, lifestyles and attitudes among young and adults, on our own initiative and on demand from clients.

Our speciality is to use numbers and statistics and put them in a context in order to fully understand what really drives for example interests, loyalty or happiness – depending on the subject.

For the present, we work with the survey Global Youth - a global survey on the values of 16 to 29 year olds and 30 to 50 year olds – and the Record Consumers –a survey on the 40 to 70 year olds in Sweden, USA and Great Britain.

During the World Association of Newspapers annual  conference in Gothenburg Kairos Future presented the Whatif® Media toolbox.

Whatif Media toolbox is an interactive solution that engages and
invloves people in taking responsibility for the present and the
future.

The toolbox has been developed in cooperation with Dreyer Kompetance AS.
