Key growth strategies for world leading chocolate company

Where is the market heading and are we fit for the future? That is the question a listed southern European market leading chocolate company asked itself and contacted Kairos Future for a trend management and strategy project. Based on a combination of expert interviews, in-depth consumer interviews, secondary research and a quantitative study in several markets, a Future Map was developed. The map covered key trends and conclusions on where the consumers and competitors were heading. It also identified the behaviors and preferences among "early adopters" as a specific target group. The research ended in three key growth strategies for the company. Based on the research a strategy workshop was held with the top management, with the aim of exploring the consequences of the trends and strategic alternatives and come up with an integrated strategic response.
