From "Bright and fresh" to "Owned" and what else?

– Midlife crisis for the ironic generation

When the ironic generation realizes that they are in their middle age suffer many of emptiness and sense of lack of real meaning in life. Kids that can handle themselves. Aging parents that get even older. The career idling. Previous generations have been through this, but what happens when the first genuine individualist and ideologically anxious generation ends up there? Will their constant fear disappear and how will this in turn change society, commitment and future consumption? Or will their middle age crisis continue to shrug where life goes on as usual?
